Job Summary


Reporting to the Corporate Controller and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (VP, FP&A) will be responsible for the development of Ceridian's financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization's strategic goals. The position will translate operational performance into financial expression and ensure Ceridian is on target to meet financial commitments. This role requires strong relationships to be built with key stakeholders including Business Executives, the Board of Directors and Ceridian Investors

Responsibilities:

* Dedicated to consolidating, analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data as well as coordinating monthly closing, reporting and forecasting processes. Accountable for generating management reporting while providing improvements to drive consistency in reporting across all business units. Work across the organization, business units, FP&A and Corporate functions

* Responsible for monthly reporting; financial analysis, communication around financial results and challenging variations to the business plan

* Develops and leads the annual operating plan process

* Serve as the management liaison to the board and private equity management; effectively communicate and may present critical financial matters at select board of directors meetings

* Generate insights into business performance to help drive improved financial results and facilitate fact based decision making

* Contribute to the development of Ceridian's strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization

* Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO and Corporate Controller informed of all critical issues. Advise the president, CFO and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters. Support the Chief Financial Officer with requests for data or analyses, particularly around benchmarking performance


Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required, with 12+ years related Financial Analysis, Management experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Management experience within Corporate FP&A function and MBA is preferred

* Strong analytical ability with demonstrated knowledge of industry recognized reporting software and spreadsheet usage; synthesize large amounts of data and translate into meaningful information; use analysis to drive change

* Understand financial statements and metrics and translate them into operational goals

* Strong level of personal organization with excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively and to direct staff

* Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects

* Set a vision for the organization and team to realize goals; manage business-wide processes and meet deadlines
