Kroll Ontrack provides technology-driven services and software to help legal, corporate and government entities recover, search, analyze, produce and present data efficiently and cost-effectively. In addition to its award-winning suite of software, Kroll Ontrack provides data recovery, advanced search, paper and electronic discovery, and ESI consulting.
Reporting to the President of Kroll Ontrack, the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies that directly support the organization's business goals and enhance the company's brand equity. Primary responsibilities for this position include managing marketing staff in the following functions: communications, promotions, digital marketing and graphics. This position owns prioritization, resource allocation, budget management and ROI analysis of marketing programs.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with product development and sales to understand key strategies and initiatives, driving the creation and implementation of corporate and business-line specific marketing strategies, which incorporate digital, advertising, event, public relations, direct mail and social media elements. Consistently evaluate and modify programs to ensure goals and objectives are met, and deliverables are in accordance with plan budget and timeline. * Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning and emerging marketing techniques in order to develop unique company value propositions, creative marketing campaigns and vendor partnerships that elevate the company's brand and achieve the desired marketing goals and objectives set in conjunction with the Kroll Ontrack President. * Develop annual, multi-million dollar marketing budget and track and manage budgeted amounts against actual expenses. * Manage global department personnel and work with department managers to evaluate and set department expectations, priorities and best practice standards. Regularly address prioritization and resources allocation needs. * Ensure consistency in global delivery of Kroll Ontrack visual brand guidelines and messaging. * Serve as a global information conduit and promote transparency and information sharing across global marketing department to maximize message and campaign effectiveness as well as operational efficiency. * Work with department managers to develop, maintain and communicate clear career advancement paths/opportunities. * Minimum of bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in related field or equivalent work experience * Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience in a combination of the following: marketing communications, public relations, event planning, advertising, direct mail, website content management, graphics, trending and/or database management and budget management * Expertise in interactive marketing, web centricity, user profiling and identification of microsegments for targeted outreach, successfully managing a SaaS marketing environment in which real user behavior is driving product development and marketing. * Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated large team management experience with success and ability to motivate people to execute on marketing activities * Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a complex budget for marketing activities * Business-to-business marketing experience - preferably in the technology, legal or legal technology industry * Experience with internet and/or web-based technologies * Knowledge of the internet and software industries. Previous experience in a high-tech company preferred * Knowledge of media deliverables available within creative realm * Demonstrated success collaborating with sales team and product management functions
