Tax Manager 2 - Systems Support
This position is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting systems to acquire and process information for foreign and domestic corporate income tax reporting. It is a substantial contributor to ensuring the timely and accurate filing of the enterprise's consolidated tax returns. Maintains high level of knowledge of the department's tax systems. Understands the department's data requirements and can speak knowledgably about the data sources, the processing and technologies that are used in delivering on those requirements. Recommends ways to improve the departments efficiency, reduce costs and enhance controls through improved data handling processes or the implementation of internally-developed and third-party applications. Manages the department's Business Continuity and Security Plans. Responsible for implementing and monitoring user access and business practices controls. Frequently enlists project management skills in facilitating infrastructure replacements, desktop environment migrations, software upgrades, programming modifications, network user account modifications and data migrations. Manages staff in the administration of our income tax reporting applications (notably, CORPTAX), the development and maintenance of application tools to enhance the collection and reporting of tax accounting data; and verifying the integrity of data between source and destination systems. Provide technical system/application support and training to 80 department team members.
Basic Qualifications: 5+ years corporate income tax experience and 2+ years management experience.
Minimum Qualifications: General ledger systems experience, demonstrated high-level knowledge of Excel, some database experience (Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA, CORPTAX (or similar tax preparation software) administration experience, and a general understanding of corporate income tax principles.
