SUMMARY: The potential candidate should have eighteen months to three years of professional web development experience. Candidate will be expected to participate in every phase of the development life cycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Responsible for the coding, unit testing, implementation, and technical support of assigned work for software development projects and support and enhancement efforts. Additional responsibilities include group design discussions, technical walk-thrus, providing time estimates for development tasks, working with business customers to clarify business requirements, tracking time spent on tasks.
Experience Required: Minimum eighteen months to three years of professional experience working in a web application development role
Required Skills: - Excellent command of HTML, JavaScript and CSS - Knowledge of W3C and WCAG compliance - Experience using JavaScript Libraries (JQuery preferred) - Experience with a server-side web development language/environment - Understanding and experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) - Experience with a source-code repository (Subversion a plus) - Strong knowledge and experience with object-oriented design principles and practices (UML a plus) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a highly-collaborative team environment - Strong technical, analysis, debugging and problem-resolution skills - Ability to independently keep abreast of new technology - Ability and willingness to quickly learn new applications and technologies - Ability to handle multiple priorities at same time - Ability to work under pressure
Preferred Skills: - BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field - Experience with Visual Studios .Net - Experience with .Net framework 3.5, XML, SQL Server - Experience with Web Services - Knowledge of WCF services and SOA - Experience with SharePoint 2010
