SQL Server Database Administrator DBA

Prestigious Global Enterprise Compnay, located in the Minneapolis area, is currently seeking Senior SQL Server DBA. Candidate will participates in and provides leadership in the development, deployment and support of infrastructures, applications and technology initiatives, both from an architectural and operational perspective in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery. Collaborate with other technology teams and clients to deploy technology architectures and solutions. Research, escalate, and resolve, technology problems relating to the global technology environment. Perform and present technology performance analysis, capacity planning, and proactive health checks. Considered SME in technology field and has expert knowledge of equipment, protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
Key Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator manages the build and run responsibilities for complex, enterprise level RDBMS environment; database design and performance; for a specific database platform or program. Prepared and able to work in a fast paced environment where multi-tasking is required. Self motivator, analytical, able to work independently, proactive and willing to dig in to find problems and identify areas of improvement. Experienced in full life cycle application development. Experience with complex database recoveries, disaster recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Understands the standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Demonstrates proficiency in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Results driven. Documents reusable processes and procedures. Works with the Sr. DBA on complex projects. A great degree of creativity and latitude is required. Relies on strong experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Build & Test Phase:
* Deploys newly designed platforms - ensuring conformity to schematics and design concepts provided by the infrastructure technical architects
* Maintains and updates technology documentation
* Identify and propose improvements to the processes and standards as necessary
* Participates in complex projects
* Assist in compiling training materials to support operational requirements
Operating Phase:
* Provide Tier 3 operational support and incident resolution for technologies of focus
* Problem management - diagnosis, root-cause elimination activity, escalation, tracking and permanent resolution of complex incidents
* Maintain a high level of knowledge on the deployment of technologies
* Demonstrate ability to take ownership, be accountable and build loyalty in order to deliver service excellence.
* Responsible for ongoing going governance of technical integrity and capacity management of systems
* Update standards documentation as necessary.
* Perform detailed analysis on network and systems facilities
* Focus on innovation & continued improvement in cost and quality of the technology services
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of technical SQL Server DBA experience
