STG Internationalis currently accepting resumesfor Site Directors/Physicians in support of a federal government project in Minneapolis, MN.This posting is for future openings - no positions available currently. The contractor will normally work 40 hours a week, 0800 to 1630, Monday through Friday (hours may vary). Overtime is not authorized. Position Summary: S/he is expected to oversee and plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of health care at a program Network Site. Provides oversight in routine and delegated assignments to maximize the use of office/institutional resources, consult effectively and efficiently with other site staff members and program HQ to successfully execute duties associated with running a the TBI Program. Primary Responsibilities: * Oversees and plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the delivery of health care at a program Network Traumatic Brain Injury Program Site. * Provides oversight in routine and delegated assignments to maximize the use of office/institutional resources, consult effectively and efficiently with other staff members and program HQ to successfully execute duties associated with running a the TBI Program. * Facilitates information flow between program members, scientific directors, and others within program network and HQ. * Coordinates the decision-making process between all program participants; supervises select program members and is responsible for coordinating their hiring. * Assists with the development and formulation of budget requests for site projects. * Reviews space utilization within the site program and makes recommendations accordingly. * Directs, coordinates, and conducts personnel actions and furnishes guidance, time management and assistance as required. * Provides advice on manpower utilization, work flow, and operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and make overall improvements for the program. * Assists with the preparation of requests for requested actions and proposals. * Coordinates and approves the initiation and processing of purchase orders, supply sources, work orders and the maintenance and renovation requests. * MD [required to hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine] or Ph.D. [ such as psychology/ neuropsychology/ neuroscience]. If certification required, it must be kept current according to the guidelines of the certifying organization. When applicable, must maintain continuing education credit sufficient to maintain clinical license and to meet medical facility specific Quality Assurance standards for credentialing. * Knowledge of organizational objectives, the federal budget process, office automation; ability to work completely independently; ability to use sound judgment in solving problems; ability to coordinate many complex systems and programs at the same time required. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, ability to develop and interact with network of clinicians and researchers for sharing new research developments, CPGs, identifying opportunities and generating new ideas. S/he must adhere to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. * Required Licenses: must possess and maintain a current, active, valid, unrestricted license as an MD or DO. The Contractor must have and maintain a current license to practice in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of clinical services. This license must be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers information (i.e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction). * Physical Capabilities: Some standing and sitting for long periods of time, dexterity, walking, and lifting objects/packages weighing up to 25 pounds. May encounter patients who are confused, agitated, or abusive. * Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls: Supervises support staff. * Work Environment: Office and clinical environment. Must be available to travel locally, regionally and nationally. Required Experience
