Mechanical Service Manager – Hudson, WI (Twin Cities Area)
Summary: Manages the repairs and maintenance of equipment assigned to the division location; reports to the General Manager.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors activities of crew in the shop, including use of tools and equipment.
Teaches others to correctly perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
Ensure information flows to managers and the mechanical department in a timely manner
Conducts maintenance, and delegates and oversees maintenance projects on company trucks, trailers, and CAT heavy equipment to include – excavators, booms, dozers, and loaders .
Inspects equipment for conformance to operational standards and DOT compliance.
Travel to special projects as needed, and ability to maintain and repair equipment in a field setting.
Manage facility maintenance.
Monitors oil samples and repair orders for the division.
Supervises the cleaning of equipment.
Educational Requirements: High School graduate
Experience Requirements: Three or more years related mechanical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (fleet management or heavy equipment/truck and trailer maintenance). Knowledge of state DOT permit requirements and procedures.
