Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our new Ameriprise Financial technology team in Minneapolis! Leveraging Technology:

* Gather, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements related to the development and maintenance of Knowledge Management tools;
* Collaborate with business partners as well as Portfolio Architects to ensure alignment of all requirements.
* Evaluate business requirements and consult with business areas and technology team to recommend appropriate knowledge management tool solutions; and
* Utilize appropriate analysis tools and artifacts.

Technology Delivery:

* Monitor Traceability and Change Control processes on projects from requirements through design and delivery; and
* Drive the quality assurance testing processes;
* Provide input to and recommend testing solutions;
* Create test approach, test plan, test schedule, status reporting, test cases, conditions and scripts;
* Ensure test environment is configured appropriately and has sufficient test data;
* Execute system and integration test scripts;
* Coordinate UAT preparation and execution; and
* Lead and validate testing results and output.

Technology Assessment:

* Select appropriate analysis techniques and tools (process modeling, use cases, etc.) for each project;
* Educate business partners on systems capabilities and the feasibility of developing specific solutions; and
* Identify issues and risks and develop strategies to resolve.
* Technology Support:
* Manages and facilitates progress meetings and documentation.
* Reports test status and metrics.

Required Qualifications

* Degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent work experience;
* 5+ years relevant business systems analysis experience that includes 2+ years technology development experience;
* Effective verbal and written communication skills combined with effective relationship management skills;
* Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills;
* Experience in systems design and an expert understanding of development processes, quality assurance testing and integration methodologies; and
* Demonstrated proficiency :
- Documenting Functional and Non-Functional Requirements;
- Process Modeling;
- Creating Use Cases;
- Managing a Data Journal and Business Rule Catalog; and
- Creating Wire Frames.

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge and hands-on experience with Ameriprise Service Delivery systems and tools;
* Working knowledge of DocSource and/or other Knowledge Management tools;
* Experience working with the following tools: Microsoft Office, Clarity, Visio, and Quality Center; and
* Experience working within a defined development life cycle methodology (e.g. CMMI, Ameriprise Quality Management System (AQMS) environment.
