Site Overview: Clinics - RI (Physicians) - HealthEast Clinics are the East Metro's premier primary care network. The medical staff includes more than 170 physicians as well as numerous certified nurse midwives. Our adult, pediatric and geriatric nurse practitioners round out a compassionate and experienced team of nurses and other support staff. Our clinics span the St. Paul area with 14 different sites and focus on providing prompt, personalized patient care with same day access for acute services. Our network size and diversity allows us to offer a full range of services for patients of all ages, including family practice, pediatrics and internal medicine.
Authorized Hours - Minimum: Per Two Weeks 80 Authorized Hours - Maximum: Per Two Weeks Work Hours: Work Hours/Schedule (For Example: 7:00am-3:30pm or Every other weekend) Primary Function: & Major Responsibilities PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide direct medical care to behavioral care patients.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participates in the HealthEast quality improvement process.
Standards:
a. Meets goals ad objectives as agreed upon by the psychiatrist and director.
2. Understands the concept of and is committed to the HealthEast Mission by demonstrating behaviors consistent with the HealthEast Mission Statement.
Standards:
a. Recognizes and responds to patients, visitors, customers and staff expectations to the extent possible. b. Recognizes and affirms the contribution of co-workers. c. Communicates to the appropriate personnel the expressed concerns and needs of customers. Collaborates with appropriate personnel in addressing the needs and concerns of customers. d. Responds to and resolves customer complaints regarding behavioral physicians.
3.Provide direct psychiatric care to patients.
4.Evaluate on a regular basis the quality of care given to patients in accordance with established appropriate methods and make changes in such care provided when deemed necessary through appropriate review of quality assurance procedures.
5.Develops lines of referral and acts as a liaison between Behavioral Care, clinics, and private practitioners.
6.Participates in general staff medical affairs including committee attendance.
Standards:
a.Participates in medical staff meetings as presented in active staff bylaws.
7.Maintains knowledge of and keeps current in updates of policies and procedures for Behavioral Care department and participates in documentation of such updates as required.
8.Performs other related duties as mutually agreed upon by physician and hospital.
Standards:
a.Duties are performed within established guidelines and timeframes.
Qualifications: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota. Must have DEA for Suboxone or be willing to obtain.
EXPERIENCE: Completion of a accredited psychiatric program residency. Active status on the HealthEast medical staff.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Maintain requirements necessary for credentialing of Behavioral Care privileges. 2. Demonstrated management skills for care and treatment of behavioral care patients. 3. Effective communications skills with patients, staff and patients' families.
