Description
One of the largest manufactures' of plastic products and assemblies in North America, is seeking a Operations Manager, MN Plant. With plants strategically located throughout the Midwest and Southeast, we are positioned to support the manufacturing needs within 60% of the major metropolitan areas of the United States.
We are currently seeking candidates for an Operations Manager position. This individual will be experienced in managing the day-to-day aspects of a manufacturing operation and will have participated, coordinated, monitored and led the activities of plant operations in support of organizational goals and objectives.
This individual will assume direction and responsibility for the overall production performance of the plant. Responsibilities include the coordinating of employees, equipment, and materials/supplies on their shift to ensure the continuous and efficient production to meet customer requirements. They will also be involved with Safety, Quality, Communications, and Employee Development and growth. The candidate we seek will have positive management and leadership skills to direct work teams.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing setting. Must understand budgets and variances and have managed department/s with the help of production data and ERP systems. Experience in implementing problem solving techniques, and continuous process improvement programs desired. A plastic background preferred, a strong knowledge in lean manufacturing and six sigma.
