Network Planning Engineer III. The primary role of this position is to design, configure and maintain WLAN, 802.1x and VPN infrastructure. In addition, this resource will take an active role in capacity planning and network monitoring.

Required Knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n and 802.1x authentication. Performs network architecture design, feasibility and modeling. Designs, analyzes, plans, modifies and documents network components and/or software by translating customer requirements and objectives into final product design. Develops, evaluates and documents network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares, analyzes, and documents short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling, and for certification and accreditation documentation for the DIACAP process. Thorough knowledge of and ability to use and apply network configuration management principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Problem Solving: Provides solutions to a variety of problems involving multiple variables and inter-relationships. Responsibility: Works well independently with guidance and supervision. Achieves desired results, anticipates unusual problems and discusses them with supervisor. Proposes new and improved work methods, and receives permission prior to deviating from current guidelines. Education: Bachelor of science in information technology or related field. Experience: 5 years with DoD networks. Certifications: ITIL v3 Foundations and CCNA.

Ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance

Qualifications:
DESIRED: M.S. degree in IT or related field. 4 years DoD network design, engineering, or configuration management. CCNP.The largest communications company in the United States. And the world.
