Position is Entry Level System Administrator.
Serves as a Middleware System Administrator for the Single Stock Fund(SSF) Program Middleware System located at USAMC-LOGSA, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Principal responsibilities will be performing system/network management of Dell Power Edge 6800 servers and conducting database maintenance in support of the Middleware application. Secondary duties are supporting and conducting causative research on logistics transactions for the PM SSF, local customer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Microsoft network management using Microsoft Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, and understand cluster server.
Familiarity with government policies/procedures, and retail/wholesale supply is a plus. Candidate should have experience in the use of MS Office products; Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidate must be capable to work weekends and shifts. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Occasional travel may be required.
Employment is contigent on the employee obtaining CompTIA Security+ certified within 6 months.****
