The Manager, Direct Sales Center oversees sales agents and supervisors in our 100+ growing direct to consumer sales center. In leading this team, you will be responsible to effectively achieve an optimal level of sales performance. We will rely on your management expertise to:
Manage the results of the Direct Sales Center operation in relation to the specific sales and service level objectives.
Monitor and evaluate all critical call center operational metrics including but not limited to conversion, productivity, placement, and issue to call rates. Proactively identify ways to improve these metrics and corresponding results to continue the maturation of the DSC.
You will be responsible for working with DSC management, internal clients, and external clients to effectively implement and manage the ongoing execution of new projects and initiatives to meet and exceed goals and enable scalability and growth for the DSC and Individual Markets.
Train, hire, staff, and performance manage the Direct Sales Supervisors. Accountable for the ongoing training and development of all direct reports, with a specific focus on supervisor training. Coordinate and manage the communication and work processes and procedures.
Develop the necessary tracking and reporting in order to communicate results.
Partner with the Operations Manger to improve sales process and performance by identifying issues and solutions that can be addressed through enhanced training, product changes, and/or system adjustments.
Monitor Agent success against deliverables established by the Agent Bonus plan. Work with key stakeholders to identify and integrate changes to the plan to continue alignment to desired behaviors and results.
Drive contact rate improvement through increased focus on call routing and use of auto-dialer.
Required Skills/Experience
3 to 5 years of call center and inside sales management experience.
1-2 years of experience in a position that involved client management activities.
Demonstrated specific experience in call center operations, processes and procedures including areas such as quality assurance, attrition management, workforce management, performance management, and training.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate operational strategy and corresponding operating procedures to all levels within the DSC and other internal clients.
Strong leadership skills to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks. This includes abilities that correspond to leadership, such as recruiting, selecting, training, motivating employees, managing employee performance, and executing strategic business plans.
Ability to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data, and to effectively communicate the related required actions across the call center operation.
Ability to present a professional image and to encourage subordinates to do the same.
Ability to participate in developing and communicating the direct sales strategic direction, and to generate enthusiasm and commitment from employees to achieve operating objectives consistent with strategic goals.
