IT Business Reporting Analyst - Golden Valley, MN
Position Description:
This position will be supplying both business and IT with information from various sources to support business needs. Ensuring the information provided is accurate and following up on any issues related to reporting/data integrity in a timely manner are critical to the success of this role. This position will be creating a set of standard reports on a regular basis (weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly) and will also create reporting/data extracts to support analysis of performance to plans, forecasting, and project management. In addition, this role will propose and implement improvements to ensure reports reconcile, provide information in an appropriate and useable format, and present information such that areas of potential concern are brought to the readers attention
Successful candidates will be able to:
Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
Identify and provide reporting solutions to unique business problems
Work with minimal guidance
Correlate data findings to business issues
Research data anomalies and provide resolution and/or explanations
Primary Responsibilities:
Define and document/communicate business requirements
Develop and document medium to high complexity business workflows
Analyze scope and resolution of medium to large size Operations Management (OM) and development requests
Provide clear description of problems / issues for medium to high complexity problems
Present options for problem resolution
Contribute in developing organizational functional knowledge
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in his/her chosen functional / application area
Assist in estimation of small to medium size work effort
Establish and manage overall project plans for small to medium size efforts
Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
Performs complex conceptual analyses
Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
Forecasts and plans resource requirements
Authorizes deviations from standards
May lead functional or segment teams or projects
