We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Set-Up Technician for the set-up of molds and machines, set-up work stations including secondary equipment and inspection gages. Hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Mon-Fri.
Specific Job Accountabilities:
Daily set-up of molds and machines to meet manufacturing schedules
Participate in qualification of new molds as requested.
Participate and assist in trouble shooting of machinery.
Operation of injection molding presses to produce parts as requested.
Document manufacturing process set-up and operations.
Participate in the manufacturing of company products as needed.
Participate in production activities in secondary operations area.
Participate in stretch blow molding activities.
Provide input for improved manufacturing methods.
Ensure procedures are documented and followed.
Work with Engineering on new Custom Molding tools.
Work with tooling department on tool enhancements opportunities and maintenance.
Support approved R&D runs as requested.
Ensure preventative maintenance requirements are maintained.
Ensure all equipment is operating within safety and quality guidelines.
Support company safety programs.
Assist with evaluating returned good/failure analysis.
The position requires 10 years experience in injection molding, set-up and operation of machinery with 5 years of this experience in high volume, critical component manufacturing operations. Strong organization and problem solving skills and ability to perform complex math calculations are also needed. Must be an excellent communicator able to write and speak English, lift up to 100 lbs, stand for 90% of the workday and use hands repetitively. A positive attitude is essential.
