Requisition Number 37633BR Position Title Global Technical Consultant - OEM Location of Position United States-Minnesota-Minneapolis Business Group Global Sales & Marketing Relocation Eligible No Position Type Full Time Position Summary The Global OEM Technical Consultant (GOTC) is responsible for OEM technology and adoption of Rockwell Automation control products for the OEM sales program. It provides a foundation for Rockwell Automation's reputation of excellence and knowledge of automation technology.
Typical activities include Proof of Concepts, application programming, control system design review, technical presentation and training, co-development of the OEM's application, FAT support as well as Rockwell Automation library and template code to support OEM developments.

Typical activities include Proof of Concepts, application programming, control system design review, technical presentation, focused application training, app notes development, application library code development, and startup engineering support.
Advanced knowledge of the application of Rockwell Automation core products and systems: Motion Control, Logix, NetLinx, Operator Interface, PLC, I/O, Presence Sensing and Software as they relate to application are essential. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science or higher degree in a technical field (ie: BS Electrical Engineering, BS Engineering Technology, BS Computer Science) or equivalent knowledge in personal computer hardware/software, or industrial and process controls.
Strong applied systems knowledge in main focus area of expertise and related areas.
Strong interpersonal skills that include multiple languages and cultures.
Extensive experience interacting with multicultural customers and the successful resolution of their unique requirements.
General knowledge of control systems and computer technology.
Well-developed troubleshooting abilities.
General familiarity with test equipment and software.
Advanced knowledge of all Rockwell Automation core products: PLC, Motion Control, Operator
Interface, Communications, I/O, presence sensing and software.
Typically five years of control and/or computer system experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of all Rockwell Automation core products: ControlLogix Integrated Architecture, Kinetix Motion, Standard Drives, Safety products, Operator Interface (Panel View), Network Communications, I/O, Industrial Control, presence sensing and visualization software RSView ME (RSView SE is a plus).
Experience and background in discrete machine controls engineering development in an OEM environment. Packaging machinery applications experience using servo motion control is desired.
Understanding of standard drives applications and Rockwell Automation drive products is desired.
Software background with RA products, visualization and 3rd party products and databases is a plus.
Knowledge and understanding of the S88 & PackML industry standards and guidelines is a plus.
