Essential duties and responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Corporate Electronics Engineering Manager, the Electronics Design Engineer shall carry out engineering projects as assigned and design electronic controls and equipment from concept through production, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Design analog and digital circuits for embedded systems. Write test and application firmware in C and assembly. Specify programming algorithms for digital components. Prepare layouts of systems and components.
Develop engineering, quality control and reliability specifications. Design, perform and document product verification tests. Establish field test programs as needed. Perform feasibility studies for new products and recommend solutions.
Supervise prototype builds and testing. Check and approve detailed drawings.
Source and qualify components. Work with vendors and consultants on specifications and qualifications.
Work with others in Sales and Engineering as a technical resource for electronics. Support existing products. Write project status and progress reports.
Stay technically current of new developments in technologies used in our products.
Work authorization in the US is required.
Requirements:
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to participate and contribute positively in work teams.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to complete projects, document work and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
Desirable experience includes electronic design of analog and digital equipment, interfacing sensors and embedded micro-controllers, using development tools (such as compilers, simulators, and emulators), specifying electronic manufacturing processes and environmental and reliability testing of electronic designs.
Desirable experience includes the design of high volume (10,000-50,000) electronic assemblies, working with HVAC equipment, knowledge of computer programming languages such as Visual Basic and C. Experience with data acquisition systems, and supervision of technicians.
Exceptional math skills.

Motivation – High energy – Demonstrates high urgency when working.
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in analog and digital design.
A minimum of three years work experience in the development or design of embedded controls including hardware design and firmware development using C and assembly languages.
