Our client is located in North Branch, MN, and is looking for a Controller for their manufacturing and parts distribution company. They have been in business since 1989 and have rebounded in to a growth position. Their products are distributed worldwide and they are the preeminent leader in their field.
Position Summary
This is the top financial position in the company reporting to the General Manager and the two owners. It also functions as a key manager of this facility with both the shop and office staff. This position has two direct reports.
Functions of the Job
Cash Management
Oversee Accounting Staff and adherence to GAAP
Job Costing / Inventory Management / Month end close
Seek new financing sources and manage relationship with existing lenders
Human Resources / Payroll / Benefits
Global exposure / Letters of Credit - 50% of sales are exports
Liaison for Audit and Tax Prep, Make tax payments for CPR and Used
Budgeting
Ad hoc analysis
IT - maintain network, ERP software updates (as needed) & support users
Financial reporting to banks and management
Property / Work Comp Insurance
BDS A/P & Support GM
Intercompany Payments
Requirements:
Education
BA or BS in Accounting, prefer CPA
Experience
5+ years in similar role for small to mid-sized company
Strong Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel.
Prefer Experience with:
ERP software - Microsoft Dynamics NAV (similar to Microsoft Axapta)
Attendance / time keeping software - Attendance Enterprise
