Job Description
Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. One year experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Licensure: Nurse Practitioners must possess a state of MN RN license and ANA certification as an NP.
Physician Assistants must possess a MN PA license and be certified by the NCCPA, as well as be eligible for prescription writing privileges per the MN Board of Nursing.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing general medical care and treatment to patients in an employer-based clinic setting. Responsibilities include obtaining health history, examining patients, ordering appropriate lab and x-ray exams, performing minor procedures, communicating with patients regarding treatment and follow up, interacting professionally with other staff, and completing the necessary paperwork. Care provided emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, diagnosis and evidence based management of acute and chronic diseases and work related employee injuries. Additional Information
