Accountant
Sherman Associates, a nationally recognized property management and development company, is seeking a full-time Property Accountant to manage the commercial property portfolio in Minneapolis.
Essential Functions
- Prepares daily bank deposits and postings receipts to tenant ledgers.
- Monthly invoicing of scheduled charges and/or bill backs; mailing out invoices.
- Coding of accounts payable invoices.
- Prepares monthly financial reports; which includes preparing and analyzing tie-out of balance sheet accounts to general ledger, verify reasonable revenue and expense amounts to Income Statement , and posting journal entries.
- Ensures accuracy of all general ledger information.
- Ensures all property and tenant information is up to date.
- Completion of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Performs annual CAM reconciliations.
- Assists with annual budget.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- 2 year accounting degree, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter
- Proven capability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Real Page account software experience a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
